Dear colleagues,
We are very excited to announce that the 2018 International Workshop on Detonation for Propulsion (IWDP 2018) will be held in Xi’an, China during September 9-13, 2018, by Tsinghua University. On behalf of the Organizing Committees, we would like to welcome you to participate in the workshop.
Brief Description
Eight previous international workshops have been held in Bourges 2011, Busan 2011, Tsukuba 2012, Tainan 2013, Warsaw 2014, Beijing 2015, Singapore 2016 and Poitiers 2017, respectively. The International Workshop on Detonation for Propulsion (IWDP) have successfully brought together scientists worldwide for exchanging cut-an-edge technical achievements and new ideas in detonation applications for aerospace propulsion. This workshop seeks to highlight the latest developments in the research area of detonation and its applications. Scientists, engineers and students in the relevant fields are welcomed to participate and present their research contributions in workshop.
Scope and Topics
As in previous international workshops, 2018 IWDP will cover specific topics as:
n New concepts in detonative propulsion from sub-component to system levels
n Experimental techniques for detonation in propulsion
n New findings in detonation physics from experimental and theoretical studies
n The analytical and computational methods of detonation analysis
Important Dates
Paper submission opens: March 20th, 2018
Deadline of submission/ Early registration opens: July 20th, 2018
Notification of acceptance/ Regular registration opens: August 10th, 2018
Regular registration deadline: September 9th, 2018
Workshop dates: September 9-13, 2018
Payment
This workshop will waive the registration fee for all the invited speakers and invited participants. Non-invited participants should pay for the registration in dollars or euros. If the participants select the visit to the amazing Terracotta Army, they will pay by themselves. The workshop will host the visit to the ancient city wall of Xi’an. Instructions for Authors
The agendum of this workshop includes invited report and poster presentation. Participants are encouraged to submit posters for strengthening the communication in the poster sections. Title, authors’ name and affiliations, research methods and contents, results analysis and conclusion should be included in posters within one page.
“Best Poster Award” will be set up in this workshop, which will be rated by international experts present at the workshop. Each winner (totally three) will receive a prize of RMB 1500 and a certificate signed by all participating experts.
