INTRODUCTION

We are very excited to announce that the 2018 International Workshop on Detonation for Propulsion (IWDP 2018) will be held in Xi’an, China during September 9-13, 2018, by Tsinghua University. On behalf of the Organizing Committees, we would like to welcome you to participate in the workshop.

Eight previous international workshops have been held in Bourges 2011, Busan 2011, Tsukuba 2012, Tainan 2013, Warsaw 2014, Beijing 2015, Singapore 2016 and Poitiers 2017, respectively. The International Workshop on Detonation for Propulsion (IWDP) have successfully brought together scientists worldwide for exchanging cut-an-edge technical achievements and new ideas in detonation applications for aerospace propulsion. This workshop seeks to highlight the latest developments in the research area of detonation and its applications. Scientists, engineers and students in the relevant fields are welcomed to participate and present their research contributions in workshop.
